If you want him to say your name, just correct him when he says, "man." Let him know it bothers you and you'd prefer he say your name.

I read a question from a guy who said he messed up and called a girl he really likes "man". I think that it just slipped out cuz he don't know how to handle the emotions he is feeling for you. Don't be sad, he's a boy, and boys are weird.

maybe he does know your name. but there are people that will get used to saying the same word all the time. you have those that love using the word like after every sentence and um maybe his word is man. i had a boyfriend that used to do that and everytime he called me man id say "i have boobs so i dont think im a man" just try to get him out of the habit.

Seems like this guy is shy around girls and is not use to talking to them. What you can do is help him out with that issue. If you poke fun at him over this, you could crush his baby-ego.

i never call my wife by her name i use a pet name and if i call her by her name she thinks something is wrong maybe he feels the same way that if he does that you will think something is wrong
