Ford Taurus.

For better or worse, there are a lot of them out there. They're super reliable, 4-door, 5-passenger sedan, with an auto transmission. You can find a low mileage Taurus 2002 or newer at a Ford dealer.

Get a Honda or a Toyota they are good cars and very family friendly but you might have to be a little older then you want for the price you want but they run for ever and even the oldest ones are very safe.

Sure, The best way to search for a vehicle in your price range is by going to KBB.com (Kelly Blue Book). First you want to see what the current market values are in the vehicles you may be interested in. Then keep an eye in your local news paper for the vehicle of choice. Keep away from the dealers due to the mark up they are intending on making on a 7k vehicle. You'll get more for your money from a private seller.

Don't forget to do a CarFax on any potencial vehicles @ www.carfax.com. This will keep the seller honest.
