The past few relationships things are going great. Then I meet the mom-she really likes me and the guy totally cools off. Why? Thanks for your insight and input-it is appreciated.

It could be a number of things, he is a mama's boy and wants her all to herself or he's a barney bad *** and certainly doesn't want mom to like the girl. When the mom likes the girlfriend, it's always, "How's so-and-so?" or when is so-and-so coming over. They don't want you to find out too much about them, and mom's always gives out personal information, especially, when you've been dating a while. Trust me not every guy is this way. Oh my, thats a sad one! Im sorry to hear that. I dont have that problem, my husbands Mom never liked me! LOL (I have to laugh so as not to cry)
I wonder why the guy would cool off cause his Mom actually likes you! Hmm...Maybe he is afraid you will get to close to his Mom to soon and share a secret she dosent know anout her son? I dont know, thats a hard one.
Has he been in alot of relationships? Maybe all the ones he has been in and his Mom liked the girl, didnt go so good. Maybe he has a great realaionship with a girl is Mom didnt care for, and he thinks this wont last beacuse of that?
I really am just guessing here! I wish I knew the answer for you. Have you thought of being totoally honest with him and telling him about this? Maybe mention it and ask if its because of you and his Mom getting close, or is something else wrong?

if he is relaxing now he is a mummy's boy and thinks highly of her opinion.
