What could cause a 43 yr old man 2 experience headaches, body shakes & alot of dark blood in toilet bowl & bms?
I am a 43 yr old white/mexican male and recently I've been having severe throbbing painful headaches, and I've been experiencing uncontrollable tremors or body shakes and for the last two days, when I've used the restroom, the toilet bowl has been filled with quite a bit of dark red blood. Does anyone know what could be causing these types of syndrome's? Anyone have any idea what my diagnosis might be? Or any preventitive measures I could take? I have lived a rough, fast, hard life and I'm presently unemployed with no medical insurance. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, because this is really getting scary. Thank you.

Having witnessed what you describe on 3 occassions... get to the ER... ASAP!!! You don't need an answer on here, you need real medical care. The level of bleeding you describe is SERIOUS... and only a Dr is qualified to help you.

BTW the cases I witnessed:
1> a case of Diverticulitis - patient actually died a couple days later due to blood loss and infection
2> a case of cancer - patient died... a couple months later after the cancer spread
3>H.Pylorie caused bleeding Ulcer... patient was treated for the bacteria & anemia and is currently doing well 2 yrs later

Do you live in Mexico or in the States? If you live in the states, almost all counties have a Health Dept where you can go and and see a doctor. The payment is usually on a sliding scale, which, if you are unemployed and have no insurance, would be next to nothing. What you are describing is serious! My first thought was malaria but I'm only guessing. Bloody stools should always be checked out and the county health dept is an affordable solution. Most doctors there are donating their time.

Good luck!

You need a doctor nothing on this sight is going to give you both a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Bleeding when you have a bowel movement that is dark red is NEVER a good sign, but it doesn't always mean something life threatening either. If you don't have insurance go to a community hospital emergency room. They may have a program in placed for people who don't have the money to pay, but you need to go sooner than later.

Ok, this can be dangerous. You need to go and see a doctor...don't wait. If you're in the US, by federal law they have to see and treat you, especially if this is an emergency..which it is. With what you've said you have what appears to me as a gastrointestinal bleed...which can be dangerous. So go and get checked out. Also, while you're at the hospital or doctor's office, have them check you out for "Heliobacter Pylori". I've got a hunch with this. Best of luck to you dude......if you start getting weak, or your pulse starts getting fast........call 911. Don't wait.....see a doctor immediately.

Go to the hospital and go NOW, insurance or not, blood is bad in your stool, don't wait any longer... they will help you. All they can do is bill you if you have no $$$ or insurance. Just like the rest of us, they will have to wait in line to get paid.
Fix yourself then worry about the bill.
