Well I got a co-worker that I'm attracted to and think he feels the same way. But I'll never persue it because I don't date someone I work with. Too Much drama.

Anyway, at my company's holiday party, I introduced him to my date. He kind of frowned at him and hesistated to speak to him and shake his hand. So my date is looking somewhat crazy - which he is - thats a story within itself, and I'm standing think whoa what was that about.?Me with my somewhat insecure azz was thinking why did my co-worker look at him like that - what? He must think that I can't get nobody? So as weeks a finally a month went by that night and incident has been plaguing my mind.

So now I'm think that I was over analyzing the situation and my co-worker didnt react to my date like?

Am I over-reacting, dellusional, over analyzing what I saw??

I'm not really worried. I was just curious if he was acting like that b/c he was jealous.

By no means do I intend to pursue him. I'm not going to lie, I'm very attracted to him. Now if once of us decides to leave the company - then its on. :-D

I don't think you are wrong.

I worked for a consulting company. We were taught to analyze people based upon their body language. And often quizzed by our management on it.

Your co-worker may not have approved. But, what does it matter? Messing with your co-worker is definitely OFF LIMITS.

(I also have a rule - NO PLAYING (no dating and no hook-ups) IN THE OFFICE POOL.)

As for your date, if you are not happy with him - then move on. But don't move on because you think your co-worker didn't approve of him.

Do you ever spend time with this co-worker outside of work? Sometimes people's personalities can change drastically in different environments.
I'm sorry he reacted like that- but that's his problem, not yours.
Has this caused any tension since? If not, what's the worry?

No, you didn't over analyze what your feelings were either showing you,
or making you feel. I know sometimes if alcohol is involved, then yes,
we can perceive certain situations in a different way, then they really are,
or maybe your date was a little intimidated or jealous?

I'm sure you may have seen a little green eyed monster. See he probably liked the attention he was getting from you. Weather or not you knew you was putting it out there I'm sure he picked up on the fact you was digging him. And when you show up with another guy, and the attention is turned away from him.......he got jealous.

It could be any number of things. If you don't ask this guy about it, you'll never know. The fact he hasn't brought it up tells me that most likely, it's not as big a deal to him as it is to you. You decide if you want to ask him about it. But don't be so worried about it. You sound like a pretty together chick.

i wouldnt worry about it...but if you feel that insecure about it, ask him out for a drink or coffee after work and casually find a way to bring the subject up.
