Well of course. Everyone feels the same way you do! There are plenty of ways you can show them that you admire them. 1. Complement them 2. Invite them to get coffee or a movie 3. you could always tell them straight up! :)

i had the EXACT same problem. i liked this guy n i knew he liked me 2. even though i knew that it was still hard 4 some reason 2 smile at him. i told myself that i just have 2 do it really quick so i don't chicken out. well i did it n i spazzed afterwards. but guess what? he smiled back n when u do it n they smile u realize that u made a bigger deal out of then it really was. just smile n don't wait so long like i did. i was so proud of myself after that.

No...when you like some one and they come around you can not help but to smile. But write her letters not long drawn out ones put ones that say..."you look nice today" or " what are you doing this weekend" " Lets do lunch" Sometimes lunch is better than dinner, it is less formal and less pressure and you do not have to worry about going back to her place or your place..and if she does not like you or you find you out that you do not like he like you thought you did..lunch gives you a way to get of it. If you are nervous about talking go to the movies you do not have to talk or look her straight in the face.

Yes sometimes.
Just need to think of the as normal human beings with shortcomings...
Then think of them as someone you want to make happy. A smile can brighten up someone's day. So smile at them :-)

Get noticed by speaking up more and remember that if you prolong your gaze slightly he might get the hint, if he smiles, try as hard as you can to smile back. Complement him on what he does well and help him with what he doesn't do so well in.

I for one could never directly tell someone that I like them. What I normally find myself doing is just talking to them, being there for them, and in those conversations, just throw it in nonchalantly that I thought it was great that they did so and so or do so and so etc.

I find it hard to believe that so many people are afraid of the people they have crushes on. Are you picking monsters or something? They're "people" just like you...right? They won't bite you.
