I've had the flu for just over a week now. It's been the oddest flu I've ever had it pretty much hit every part of my body. There were times when I was extremely hot, extremely cold, extremely tired, fairly peppy. Also there were times when I would have coughing fits ever 2 minuets or so. Another symptom I had was pain in my lower back and I would experiance sore tearing eyes occasionaly. The strangest symptom I found was just today out of no where my ankles both got really red and itchy for about 30 minuets and then it was gone. Can anyone diagnose any of these, either as a flu in general or as seperate illness'

Frankly, this sounds like Malaria. Please get to a hospital if you can.

Hepatitis was mentioned earlier, and yeah that sounds close too. Either way you should see a doctor now.

Don't mean to scare you, but go to your DOCTOR QUICK!!! I've never heard of all of this just with the flu. My mother is a nurse and I've worked in a nursing home before and I've never heard of these flu symptoms. To me, it sounds like something worse than the flu.

I'll keep you in my prayers. Get well soon and go see a doctor.

I had about the same thing... God Bless You!
I know that you must take your C and don't get too hot or too cold and don't forget to brush your teeth, help get rid of extra bacteria.

Gargle w/hot salt water, as hot as you can stand it.. for your throat, that kills germs.

Advil gets rid of inflamation in your body, so take that.
