For a first date a movie may not be the best choice since you can't really talk at one without the people around you telling you to be quiet. If you reaaly want to be able to talk and get to know each other may I suggest, going for lunch or dinner, going for a walk, another type of fun activity where you can have each others full attention.

Plan a group date with some friends, that way your parents or one of your friends parents can drop you off at the movies for a couple of ours, you can even tell your buddies your motive, they might help you out or give you some space so you can talk with her.

So what if your parents are embaressing, everybody's are. Ask the girl out and if the theatre is so far away take her out to dinner then do a movie at her house.

Well if you really like the girl and she really likes you then she will be able to stand your parents. Give it a try everyone thinks that thier parents are embarrissing. Another suggestion is to eat luch together if you have the same lunch period.

you guys could always just hang out at night by walkin around if you live near her or something. its always just nice to walk around in the middle of the night and gaze at the stars and jus have no destination and u can pretty much talk about anything. and if she doesnt like that cuz its too cold or whatever, u could make it an excuse to keep her warm. haha good luck. The best advice I can give is go with friends at first and I dunno. Ditch them? j/k. nah, just find some other way to get there. My parents are real embarassing too. It sucks and I'm sorry you have to drive 30 minutes to go see a movie.

ask her out and watch a rental movie or something...how embarassing can ur parents really be...? do they make loud gawking sounds when ur watching a movie? probably not...as long as ur occupied or show her around...u should be ok. or i guess u can do a walk in the park and go somewhere walking distance.

if you can't drive, you're too young for a relationship. if you want this to last (which maybe you don't), just stay friends with her and work on that...a friendship will be worth much more for her and you in the long-run.
