What if I have watermarks on the inside of my H.I.D. headlights?

This is for a Lexus IS300.

The looks like condensation has built up on the inside of the lights, then dried. Possibly do to driving in large washes of water in the spring? 1 1/2 feet hi.

Ignore the others.

This is a Lexus....these are sealed headlights. If water got inside that means the seal has been broken.

No headlight cleaner is gonna clean the inside lens let alone all the so called headlight cleaners are aggressive and will scratch your new Lexus headlights.

Since this item has failed (seal broke) then it should fall under a warranty item. Take it to Lexus and have them replace the entire light housing as that is what is sealed.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX THIS YOURSELF AS YOU WILL CAUSE MORE DAMAGE.

I repair headlights in my profession and even for me, an expert, it gets tricky at times. A level of plastic knowledge is also needed.

I guess i just dont understand people. The whole point of asking an auto related question in yahoo answers, is so someone DOESNT HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC. I completely fail to understand why people would just tell you to have someone else look at it.
Anyways, on to your question.
Because the lexus oem hid lighting system is not a sealed unit, water will seep into them from time to time. You want to buy a specific headlight cleaner, because cleaners such as alcohol, will harm the clear uv finish. Everystore under the sun sells headlight cleaner. Its like $5.00 a bottle, and that bottle will easily outlast your car.

if your sure the water marks are on the inside then you should get it in to the dealership and let them fix it because if you have water on the inside of any head light you run the risk of shorting out your whole cars electrical system yes this will kill and ruin your car but that is worst case best case is nothing would happen or you might just cause that bulb to go out but really is it worth risking your whole car?
