May my love for you
Warm your soul on cold nights
May my trust in you
Lift your spirits when they are down
May my friendship with you
Brighten any dark clouds over your head
May my appreciation of everything you are
Guide you on your way when you are lost

May I always show you my unconditional love
May I always tell you I care
May you always feel me in your heart
May you always know I’m there
May my gentle kisses sweep away falling tears from your eyes
May everything you give me
Come back to you threefold

May the fights we have
Build a bridge for our love to stand on
May the tears we cry
Unite our souls
May the words we speak
Be a pledge for everlasting happiness

May we double our joys
Half our sorrows
Live our dreams
Fight our fears
Stand strong and tall
Hand in hand

May this day be a new beginning
May this day be a celebration
May we be united as one
From this day on
May our love grow strong
For eternity and more

As a poet and english major, it is a very nice and thoughtful poem. But it does seem a tiny bit long. You have to realize that people have very short attention spans these days and you don't want people in the audience watching to get bored and have their minds wandering away from you and your groom. Also, I'm not quite sure if I like the part about the fights being a bridge for you two to stand on...maybe you could change that to something about learning from your fights to make your relationship stronger. But it's a very lovely poem.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. this is a very beautiful poem. i think you put a lot of heart and soul into it. it looks to be long when it is in writing but i'm sure when you read it, it will not be as long because spoken is most of the time shorter than written. Have a great wedding!

It's nice,it's shows you that you are romantic and truely love that person that you're going to be a lifetime partner...(husband/wife)..But honestly,it's tooooooooooo long. You can make it short. But if you want it and like that way,go for it..That's for your wedding day, that's special and that's your day! Congratulations

It is absolutely beautiful. I can tell it is from your heart, and as long as you live those words, you will have a wonderful marriage. It is long, but I wouldn't cut any part of it.
