share a common ancestor? Similar structure is not proof. My printer and my fax machine have similar structures, but no common ancestor.

DNA similarities are not proof either, Windows95 and Windows98 don't have common ancestry, the have a common designer.

Nope, there's no proof that ANY species of animal, plant or microbe evolved from another species.

Actually your printer and fax machine DID evolve from the same technology, and the similarity of structure is a direct result of that.

we're not -that- closely related to chimps... kinda like you can't crossbreed an alligator and a crocodile, but they're related.

according to http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/31/AR2005083102278.html

in refrence to comparing the chimpanzee genetic code to human genetic code....

"By placing the two codes alongside each other, scientists identified all 40 million molecular changes that today separate the two species and pinpointed the mere 250,000 that seem most responsible for the difference between chimpness and humanness."

that's not a whole lot. anyway, if you do some research into what the scientific community is discovering and learning, maybe you'd realize that your fax machine has evolved from telephones and printers......

DNA bub apes have a 2% difference in DNA 98% is similar to human DNA also fossils have you ever heard of homo erectus the first homosaipien there are also other fossils of ape like humans but i don't remember their names use
www.wikipedia.com or google it to find picture of fossils names all of the works
though what does facinate me is that their are still apes and we haven't found a way to evolve them into humans but i'm not jumping into religigous theorys

Transposable elements (HERVs) can appear anywhere. They are present in many of the same loci in humans and the great apes. Less common insertions are present in other primates.

You got a point there.....I'm not convienced that we are evolved from apes. I think that modern science and certain men/women does not want to beileve in God. They teach us of the big bang theroy. I have a hard time believeing that. Where in this world does man think he came from?

Plenty of evidence AGAINST EVOLUTION:.
First, the 'Cambrian explosion'; the millions of fossil types in Cambrian rock (oldest fossil bearing rocks) appear suddenly and fully formed and without any previous forms...IOW, there are no transitional forms.

Most well educated evolutionists when forced to ...will admit it, but very unwillingly, and even then they always want to seem to make new excuses for it. Usually they just don't say anything about it and hope noone finds out.

The thing to remember is that evolution is still just a theory - a hypothesis, a speculation, an unproven assumption.

"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host by the breath of His mouth. For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:9)

Yes, why do you ask, particularly in the religion section.

These days the easiest way is through DNA sequencing.

And the idiot giving the thumbs down, thats the correct answer, I'm sorry if it offends you in some way.
