Is this the first time that you are doing a water fast? If you are, you should be properly supervised.

I find that fasting helps to give the body a "break" and a chance for your body to remove toxins that have accumulated in your body. However, water fasting should not be allowed to carry on for too long. I can't give an exact time frame as the make up of every individual differs. Also, you will need the advice of a trained natural health practitioner.

On the other hand, juice fasting is a much more gentle way of "fasting" and can be carried out for a longer period as you are not depriving your body of important nutrients while fasting.

If your acne is worrying you then go to the doctor. This forum will only give you laymans answers most of which is just old wives tales. Acne is caused by overproduction of oil on the skin caused primarily by Hormones. Washing etc is fine but WILL NOT cure acne. I advise a visit to the docs to perhaps have a coarse of antibiotics. No big deal but if your acne is bad or prolonged then excessive scarring may result which will last forever.

About 30 days, but you are wasting your time. Acne is a skin condition that every young person, and to a point, adults suffer with. The best solution is to keep the skin CLEAN, limit the cokes and ice cream, and candy , cakes, pies and all of the other stuff the young like to eat. More fruits, vegetables, and again, keep your face clean. A good scrub morning and night will help. So far as getting rid of it goes, forget it. You're stuck with it for a long time to come.

No don't do this. You'll starve your body of nutrients.

Go to your GP and get treatment for it. I'm a long term acne sufferer and have tried lots of these things. The only thing that definitely works is going to the doctor and being prescribed medication. It's no harm to eat sensibly etc. but that alone won't cure your problems.

I know its not nice. But a lot of people suffer from acne. Don't do what you are going to do, you will do more harm than good. Just eat sensibly, no chocolates. greasy food etc. And use a face wash especially for your skin type. You can also get lotions etc. Either look in a shop yourself or ask a shop assistant to help you. Good luck.

Believe it or not, sweating along with drinking PLENTY of water will be your best bet. You don't have to waste money on special soaps. However, for the first 7-10 days your acne will get worse, but after that your skin will clear up. You have to get all the bad stuff out of your pores first.

that will not help your skin.. how old are you ... jeez..

Yes water is great for your skin ..but not just water. a fast will make your skin dull etc.. and i don't think it will do fk all to your spots

You need to stop eating junk and eat HEALTHILY - not blo.ody starve yourself.

Have you not ever heard of the saying.. "you can tell how healthy a person is by looking at there skin..." well going on a fast will certainly not make you healthy

lotsa fruit n veg will help..

I don't think that alone will solve it, I found this article on a site that I find has reliable info. Please type in acne for all results (look tr' as not all r relevant),it has some good suggestions such as eating bananas, a pro biotic supplement.

don't do that! yes, water will help but you will deprive your body of other important nutrients!
Try a cleanser, toner and moisturiser every day instead of starving yourself. Tea tree oil is also a very good product for spots. You could also pay your doctor a visit to discuss the issue with him/her.
