Well my boyfriend graduated a year before me, but we are still together. My best friend is a guy and we always mess around with each other, like hug and hold hands but never anything more. But we also talk to each other like we together. Is that considered cheating?

The main question to answer is, what do you think you are doing? Does your boyfriend know that you are this way w/ your best friend. On the overall, you are still young and you need to limit touchy situations as much as possible. You are the middle-man, so you are the one w/ all of the power and know-how in this situation, I recommend asking yourself. My guess is that you already know the answer, you just don't want to go through the pain. This is understood but remember, the longer it lingers, the more YOU will get hurt.

Well first ask yourself this....if your boyfriend had a female bestfriend and was hugging, flirting and holding hands with her, wouldnt you mind? True, its not like youre having sex with your friend but its best not to do anything...."more than friendly" because you wouldnt want him doing it either right? No its not considered cheating but just dont do anything you wouldnt want him doing behind your back.

You should not be messing around with this guy friend of yours, forever and ever, Amen. If you are not serious about your bf, you need to be honest with him and let him go. You may deny it, but, I think, deep down, you want something to happen with this guy friend of yours and, yes, that is cheating. If you share your innermost feelings with this "friend"; things that your bf should be hearing, then you are cheating, in an emotional sense, which is often worse than having illicit sex.
Something IS going to happen here; girl, you are playing with fire and before you get burnt, you need to change things--and fast.

well it would depend on how you feel when you mess around with him, if you feel uncomfortable then in a sense you are cheating. But do the real cheating you have to have sex. But then also cheating could be classified in a lot of different ways also.

No that is considered being a best friend if that is what he thinks too. Who said a best friend has to be the same sex you are? Your boyfriend should know of this friendship though.♪

Yes, I would consider that to be cheating.
If you have a boyfriend, you should only be "hugging and holding hands" with HIM. If you're going to keep it up with your guy friend, you should break it off with your boyfriend.
It'd be the right thing to do.

For the mear fact that you now feel quite guilty, i could feel that u have something for this "friend" of yours. Talk to yourself. Choose and decide BUT consider the consequences of your decision. Put and end to which ever of the two relationships you must. And take care of the one you chose. This way, you'll be fair to yourself and your boyfriend. Goodluck!

It depends on what your true feelings are for this guy. You also need to think deeply how you would feel if your boyfriend was involved in the same situation with another girl.
