How do u survive in prision?

I'm getten locked up and freaken out. I've never been a pussy but prision is alot different than a bar. I aint affraid to fight and will get crazzy on someone. I'm 6ft 185 pounds. What are my chances of protecting my ***. Also I'm a good looking guy. I'm not a pretty boy but more rugged looking like that guy from Angel. Also I Know it says my name is Jessica I'm using my girlfrinds computer.

Is threre anyone who has any real life advice and experience to draw on. I realise to alot of you rape is funny but it realy isnt. No one would sentence a women to prision if it ment she would be raped a bunch of times.

I got 18 months . I got a call from my sister when her boyfriend was beating her. I got over there and he had blood all over him and kneeling over my sis slapping and punching her. So long story short I busted the guy up pretty bad. I got charged and convicted of acceses force.

THanks to the people who gave me a real answer. It sadens me though that so many of you are so messed up and twisted and remember not everyone deserves to go to prision and nobody should be tortured for protecting themselves or their family. It is wrong to steal and hurt people or sell drugs that are harmful. But this is america and while there are people who should be punished this punushment is not to be "cruel and unusual" I may hold my own but anyone who does get raped in beated in almost any circumstance is being treated cruel and unusauly.

all of these answers are bullshit. first , you wont get raped unless you ask for it. being scared is asking for it. show no fear . But also be polite . Dont give anyone any reason to **** with you and definetly dont play the bad *** role. they will cornhole you for that.
with that being said prison is full of people like me and you . Alot are really good people in a bad situation. Be very carefull of people doing favors for you , they always have a motive.
Accept nothing from anyone for free they will expect a return "favor' and may force you into something .
I have done " hard time " in floridas raiford. I was 19 and done about 3 years. My asshole is still intact . I saw a few people taken advantage of sexually, but they were what you call "pressure punks'" They were able to be scared into sex with men over repeated threats.
Here is some good advice......Do not get in any gangs (aryans especially, they are phony ) they will only have you involved in **** you have no need for and could get you killed. Be yourself and keep your eyes low and your head high.
Do not gamble , even if you win , you will proably be killed. People in prison hate losing.
By the way , good job for your sister , that will hold alot of weight with the "fellas" in prison. At least your not a kiddie diddler..............

First off, i spent 4 years in prison for assault. I joined the aryan brotherhood for protection ( i knew someone on the inside already, which helps in some cases) and i sat at their table and played cards with some of them. They kept me safe for all of a month and a half. My AB "sponsor" and i were simultaneously raped IN THE YARD by like probably 8 guys. They were mexican gang members. This is only in the first month and a half. During my 4 years, i was raped over 10 times. It is simply unavoidable, i was even raped by 3 white guys about 3 years into my sentence. The guards and the doctors (if they are even doctors, usually they are nurses and not-quite-doctor types) turn a blind eye to this stuff. They would stitch me up, let me sit in a bed for a few days, and throw me back to the wolves. I am roughly the same build as you, and you wont be able to fight off 2 or 3 guys at once. The harder you fight back, the harder they beat and sodomize you.

Just keep looking over your shoulder, and try not to ever be alone anywhere. Trust nobody... NOBODY. Every single man in there regardless of race, age, size, or 'friendship' wants you to be a woman for them. And trust me, sooner or later you will be. Just take it like a man and you;ll get a few days in the infirmary after they stitch up your O-ring.

uhh yeah u may not want to try that whole fleeing the country thing. if you're sentenced to time in prison already yet you're able to use a computer right now chances are it wasn't a very serious crime so you're probably not going to be in for a long time. don't risk leavin the country, cuz if u get caught then you'll really be screwed and end up doin a hell of a lot more time behind bars. or if u get caught in mexico - the prisons down there aren't very fun, you'd wish u were in american prison if u get caught there. and u'll probably run out of money and food and shelter on the run. so yeah, don't try it. just keep to urself in prison, make friends with some tough guys, don't try to act all tough and gangster u'll only get your *** beat. and all those ppl saying you're gonna get raped or killed - chances are u won't unless you're obnoxious and draw attention to yourself.

Its a kinda funny situation, i know its serious for you, but it's funny to us.

I mean come on, some dude is totally gonna pound away at your old lady while you are in there, you know that don;t you?? other men will have sex with her, and she is going to enjoy it, alot. The irony is that other men will be having sex with you too, which kinda makes it fair that she will totally be gobbling on some other guys crank since your are getting roto-rootered by a whole bunch of dudes in prison.

Men will have sexual relations with your woman, and men will have sexual relations with you. There probably isn;t anything that anyone is going to tell you on yahoo answers that will help you cope with the cold hard reality of the situation.

Yeah, it;s crude and disgusting, but maybe next time you;re in a postion where you decide either "i am going to commit a felony" or "i am not going to commit a felony", before you chose one of them, you'll have a vivid flashback to the large angry men in prison feverishly pistoning away at your backside, and the heavy breathing and grunting while you sob like a lost child in some dark corner of general population. Then you can remember when you got paroled you went home and found some other dudes car in the driveway, and some other guy vigorously thrusting away at your (ex) girlfriends eager cooter. Remembering these unfortunate events might just be enough to help you make the RIGHT decision: "I am NOT going to commit a felony"

Don;t commit felonies kids, or else you'll end up getting raped repeatedly by several men over a period of several months or years and lose your woman, just like this guy.

On the upside, when you get out, you won;t make any noise when you fart and you'll be able to blame the smell on a nearby dog or some fat guy. So it;s not a total loss.

I did 7 years of an 8 yr sentence for assault and battery. I started in minimum security prison. I was raped 6 times in the first month i was there, and in each instance the guys holding me down beat me severely. The 7th time i fought back harder, and ending up catching a case for battery, which ruined my chances of early parole and caused me to be moved to jackson prison.

6 foot 185 lbs is small compared to the monsters you are going to face even in minimum security scenarios. 300 lb 6 and a half foot men with 0% body fat as far as the eye can see, each and every one of them hell bent on piledriving your poop-chute. That's the reality of it. The people who seem friendly are really the dangerous ones, either they plan on taking advantage of you or they are setting you up to be raped by someone else.

You WILL be raped. Over and over again. That thing the guy said about piles of crap in the shower is true. if you can't deadlift 600 pounds and throw down some serious martial arts, you will be raped many many times. You are "fresh meat on the block" and from day 1 you will be a target. try to get put in solitary as soon as you arrive, its worth the extra sentencing to be safe in there. otherwise other inmates will be bombing your butt with big black torpedoes every time the gaurds turn their backs. You have 3 choices: hide in the hole (solitary), develop your "oral skills" and be a *****, or just get used to being punked out on nearly a daily basis. I have seen it happen to so many guys in jackson it isnt funny, you can hear their screams of anguish every day as they are beaten and raped by crews of 5 or more gigantic men.

It is cruel and unusual, and i am very sorry someone will have to endure this unending gauntlet of rape and beatings for the noble act of defending a woman.

Get some friends. People in prison usually coexist in small groups of 3 to 4 if theyre not in a gang. This is for safety, because when youre alone everyone knows and they will take advantage. Dont accept favors, doesnt matter what it is dont take them. They can smell newbies a mile away so just keep it real and remember respect is everything. Try to keep your head down and blend in as much as you can.

man, if what you say is true, then i feel bad for you. you're right that someone shouldn't be sent to prison for protecting a family member from some sick, twisted piece of trash. you were correct to bust that dude up bad. anyway, i suggest you just try to keep as low of a profile as possible. don't say or do anything that could make any enemies for yourself. and don't put yourself in any bad situations that are avoidable. work out and keep strong and fit just in case you do have to fight. maybe with good behavior, you could be out early? good luck to you!!! my heart goes out to you.

You are going to a minimum security prison. Most people in minimum have less than ten years to do. They sure don't want to add onto their sentence by raping you. They are what is considered short timers. Not saying you will not get into fights, but mind your own business and keep your mouth shut. If confronted you have no choice but defend yourself.

It really sucks that you got prison for protecting a loved one.
Keep in mind that you did the right thing, which very unfortunately was wrong too.......the justice system is a little unbalanced when it comes to this kind of thing.

This is very bad. I would suggest that you try to strike up a few - and only a few - alliances while there and avoid any verbal confrontations. No easy matter, I'm sure. Perhaps even let it be known that you are HIV positive as a precaution. That could be risky if word gets out from a med trustee. Otherwise, work out each day and stay alert. Those alliances I mentioned should not come with trust. Trust no one.
