It works like a vicious cycle. Congress wants votes, more people, more votes. Corporations want more money, cheap labor equals more money in their silk lined pockets. It's a win-win situaltion for Congress and Corporations and it's killing the American citizens since we have to fund the welfare etc. that the cheap labor workers get in supplement to those low wages. It's a losing situation for us, the citizens. We have lowered wages and higher taxes.

Obviously politicians are for sale. Congress won't do anything about illegals because America has always wanted cheap labor. And the only reason the republicans brought up the whole immigration thing was for the votes of conservatives. And I don't know about you but I don't see Americans lining up for jobs at the farm. And I don't think the American People want to pay 5.00 for a head of lettuce.

Yes. It is pretty obvious. Corporations are not dealt with well by Congress. To many Congressmen have interests investing in Corporations. So why would they bother to listen to Americans at all. We vote and still get a deaf ear from Congress.

Very much so. What I think big business really wants, is for Mexico, the U. S, A., and Canada, to be more or less one big country, with no borders. But no way will this work. So we must do all we can to stop them.

I don't think it's corporations. Congress, the prez and senate want illegals to go legal because they see them as future votes to help keep them(their party) in power.

why do you expect so much out of politicians controlled by lobbyists and corporations? it's not like the repubs were any better in the 6 years of control. there is no government for the people, regardless of the party.

Too much effort and not enough political gain for them. Even IF illegal immigration policy were to be passed, it would contain many add-ons like banning online poker and removing the word "liberal" from our classrooms.
