Got my test results from my biopsy and ?????

I went today to get my test results and I really don't understand, I will be seeing my Dr. on Friday but for now I am very confused. Please Help.
The bottom line is this," No specimen can be identified in the specimen container. The specimen container will be filtered."

Does anyone know what that means other than they screwed up?

I am just guessing here, based on classes I had in college. The meaning depends on what type of tissue they sampled. If it was a fluid sample, then the filtering will likely work well.

If the sample was was a solid, they may have lost it. Filtering might pick up enough cells so they can complete the biopsy. I don't know if I would rely on the results for this type of biopsy.

If the filtering doesn't work, you will need another biopsy. You might be able to call the lab where the biopsy is being done and find out from them what is going on. I don't know your circumstance, but maybe you can't afford to wait another week for the results?

The result says that no harmful effect could be seen in the result.The specimen will be further examined. It is a good result and you should not worry. Good Luck.
