Unfortunately, this is a consequence of so many atheists using Evolution to say more than it really does. Hence, Christians react in like fashion. For example, the Darwin fish is misleading, suggesting Darwinism in some way refutes Christianity. It is predictable that Christians would react to this level of public discourse rather than read higher level texts on science and theology. Atheists do the same in the counter-arguments. It is all nonsense.

They're misinformed pricks. Evolution doesn't explain the origins of the universe... it just shows us than every form of life was not created the way it is right now, like the bible claims, but proves it evolved from a very basic organism. I don't know how that is hard to understand for christians. Now Big Bagn Theory does try to explain the creation of the universe. Duhh.

I do not see where there are many Christians that think that Darwins theory explains the origin of the universe. But, if you are going to state that God does not exist, or that life evolved from a puddle of primordial goo, then the evolutionist would need to be able to explain how the goo got there.

That would entail being able to explain the origin of the universe, where many evolutionists will get fighting mad stating that the two are not related. But, in reality, they are related.

For if you can explain the origin of the matter that comprises the universe, or the source of energy for the Big Bang, then that would explain how the goo that started evolution got on this planet.

Every evolutionist I ask (where did the goo come from) can not answer that question. And if they did, then I would ask them to explain the origin of the universe. For with evolution, you have to completely write out divine intervention.

There are several reasons:
Ignorance -- they are against real education.
Deceit -- lump evolution with cosmology, then say evolution is false because biologists can't precisely explain the nature of the very early universe.
Brainwashing -- cut and paste is the limit of thought left.

They lump everything that disagrees with Genesis into a single category.
They also lump abiogenesis into the category. Evolution does not cover how life started either.

I think it does, my idea is that we stop talking about it all together, we've never gotten anything done bickering about it. If everyone is so concerned about the origin of the world, we aren't we doing more to care for our environment, says alot , huh?

Because it does. The theory is now a proven fact (details on request).

According to one of their leading (and often quoted) 'scientists', evolution covers the creation of the universe, forming of planets and stars, and abiogenesis.

Thats the big bang....evolution "explains" human life from non living matter.

All takes an enormous leap of faith.
