yes. In Burbank, switch to the 101 and continue up north until you get to Ventura.

Yes, from Buena Park, on 5, 5 and 101 join south of Dodger Stadium and also separate, just south of the stadium, so there is no need to take 5 all the way to Burbank, as 101 splits off and goes by the Hollywood Bowl and on to Ventura..5 goes to Burbank and 101 does not....so you don't want to be on 5 north of the stadium...

Yes you sure can. The great thing about L.A. freeways, and there's only one great thing, is that they are clearly marked.
Heading North on I-5 you will travel about 50 miles or so before hitting the sign that says 101 Ventura, but you won't be able to miss it.

You would want to get onto the 101 north near downtown Los Angeles (Boyle Heights, I think). If you continue on the 5 north past downtown Los Angeles into the Glendale/Burbank area you can still get to the 101, but you would have to get on the 134 west first.
