i'm forteen and fat and no matter how much i try i'm not getting less fat i think it's my matabolism cause my whole family's fat how can i speed up my metabolism

do anything that will increase your muscle mass. Walking, running, any exercise to build more muscle, because muscle burns way more calories than a fatty body.

i know where you come from... my mom in high school was over 200 lbs. and my dad the same but they lost weight as they got older. Im 15 and when I thought I was chubby from 13-14 I never ate breakfast or lunch and I regret it so much because it tottaly screwed with my metabolsim. Some tips from me would be eat six small meals a day, excercise once a day, eat a yogurt container for lunch, and sleep 9 hrs. a day.

Oh and green tea also helps

exercise is the best solution. researchers show that people who exercise in addition to eat less keep off the most weight for a longest time. work up to het at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise (such as fast-paced walking) a day. by eexercise, u'll raise ur metabolism so that u burn more calories, even as u sleep. but first of all, be discipline. good luck, kid

You are 14. Your metabolism is as fast as it's going to get.

Join a sports team at school.

Fatness in family's is usually contributed to the food you are eating as a group .
Stop eating starches no breads gravy ,stop soft drinks and sugars .walk ,walk ,walk, drink a lot of water when you are hungry .

drink fluids like tea. Try Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey. That's what I drink and I'm thin.

Eat less carbs, excercise and drink a lot of water avoid soda...

all the other advice is great.....you should also see your doctor to rule out anything wrong physically as well.....like a bad thyroid etc.....etc..... and since you are so young it should be a little easier for you to lose the weight now than when you are an adult

watch what you eat and exercise and eventially the weight will come off.dont get didcouraged,just keep trying.
