This happened to my wife Rose. Rose was an avowed Atheist. This was several years before we met. She was a professor at the University. She was also in an abusive marriage. Her husband told her that if she ever left him he would take the two daughters and go back to the middle east. After an abusive session, she decided to leave. But where to go? In one of her classes was an older lady. Rose asked if she could stay there. That was no problem. Rose and her girls moved in. That lady was a Christian.

Over the next period of time Rose filed for divorce. To make a long story short her husband got the girls and took them to the middle east. (The social worker had not taken the Passports.) Rose was frantic. The Christian lady said that she would have her church pray. Rose thought that nothing could be done, but the church prayed. Two weeks later she got a call from her husband saying that she could pick up the girls at the airport. (She found out later that when her husband arrived home in the middle east, the oldest sister asked where Rose was. when he could not give an adequate answer, he was told that he was not welcome unless Rose was there too. (This is unheard of in that culture.)

As she was driving to the airport, Rose uttered her first prayer. It went something like this. "God, if you exist, tell me what I should do!!!" A calm like she had never experienced before settled over her. In her words it was uncanny. Calmly she met with her husband took back the girls. Since that day there is nothing that a person could say or do that could shake her faith in God.

Does God answer prayers. Ask Rose.
Does God perform miracles. Ask Rose

I got this fromYahoo Answers this morning

As a scientist with almost 50 years of experience, I have gone from atheist to believer over the course of time and study. Science does a very very good job of explaining what is happening, and in some cases how it is happening, but it is much more unclear throughout as to exactly why it is happening. There are very many rules in science and I can put the chemicals together in a test tube but I do not create living things from nothing. I have tried. I create a new baby in a test tube but only from what was already given me from the mother and the father...I can synthesize many things but they do not take on a life of their own.....the more I learn the more I am just utterly amazed at what I do not know. Be careful with a little knowledge, and putting all hope in science, we do not know enough now by any means.

In his book "Surprised by Joy" a diehard atheist, and one of the leading intellectuals in Britain during the past century, C.S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia), talks about something he calls "The Hound of Heaven" that constantly pursued him. The more he tried to shut out the idea of God, the more this "Hound" pursued him, and the more angry Lewis became. Finally he could stand no more. In his own words, “I became one of the most reluctant converts in England.” It was then that a most unexpected thing happened. He was flooded with true Joy. For him it was a profound miracle. The book has been a “Best Seller” for many decades. Maybe you do not recognize miracles, but C.S. Lewis certainly did.

I have looked at your profile and I see that you seem to be obsessed with this topic. I would not be surprised if you are being pursued by "The Hound of Heaven" right now.

Ha if you experienced a miracle, you would understand what were talking about. Why is it so hard to believe in God? I pray that someday you can experience the kind of freedom and security i have in Christ Jesus. You never notice the void you have inside until you fill it, it truly is amazing, its life changing. You seriously dont know what your missing

Well most of the time miracles happen without an Atheist realize it (this is my opinion). For example; I have know people to be healed on their death bed from a deadly disease. Well, a doctor or scientist may say: Sometimes things like that happen! A doctor might give someone a 10% chance of recovery. And when that person recovers the doctor will just say "I didn't say you wouldn't make it! just not likely".

neither Atheists nor Believers can possibly explain 'miracles', they both have a subconscious 'conflict of interest'
Unfortunately their seem to be no 3th party outside of the two mentioned.
Just go by what your hearth tell you, at least it will be acceptable to yourself.

Black: You experience, along with millions - a miracle of God and that is the miracle of food to eat. Also; the miracle of being conceived and being born ! Oh ! How we take life for granted !

"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise;and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not,to bring to naught things that are:That no flesh should glory in His presence." 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
Pretty awesome God isn't He ? If you ever expect to understand what the truth is , just try a little humbleness.

Atheists do experience miracles... they just aren't intelligent enough to recognize it.

It seems like athiests explain those things as though its life, and fact, they don't acknowledge that anything or anyone did it. Yea, like i dont know how it happened but it did.
