I live in a small town and if I went everyone would be talking, but on the other hand it is a free trip to New York.... should I make a public mockery of myself just for a free trip?.... it's for those DNA tests

no- I'm dead serious- I got so mad when the father of my kids decided to be immature and take off and deny paternity to two of our kids that my sister told me to write maury for those DNA tests, so I did, in a fit of rage and like 4 months later ( just yesterday) a lady from the show called me and asked if I wanted to come on the show. That is just nuts... I shouldn't do it though huh?

Look at this from a different perspective: Try to look at it from your kids point of view, and put yourself in their place. Would you want to have your parents crying and/or yelling on national syndicated TV over something as personal as who your own father is? I know I would not.

Now, if my parents were on Maury to fight with each other for some unrelated reason, that is different...I mean, I would still be embarassed and all and may not like it, but it doesn't directly involve me...my baby pictures would not be shown across a TV and my father's identity questioned. Like another person on this page says, there is a thing called "re-runs". This would always be a part of not only your life but your kids' lives, and in a small town no less. DNA tests are probably expensive, but doing it out of sight of others' prying eyes is probably what it sounds like you would rather do.

Don't go. If there's the slightest chance that this man isn't the father, and he's not you will be even more humiliated. Not to mention how you have to make a tape before the show and tell your story on how you got to this point. I see repeats of some of the shows and i can tell whom i am watching it with what happens. You don't want to end up like the women who are on there testing the 10th guy.

Save your money and get a test done at home. You can get a court order to do it.

The Maury show now is almost as bad as Jerry Springer. I agree with the others, the DNA test is not that expensive. Nothing is worth the humiliation you will go through. And that would not be as bad as what the show will do to your social life.
No one will want to date you or have a long lasting relationship if you go on the show. Can't you just hear them asking your date, is that the person that was on the Maury show? Be good to yourself, the show will only exploit you.

I think his show stinks. Its hard to believe the world is so full of people that would humiliate there selves, family's and most of all the child in question. I wouldn't give up my self respect for a trip to New York for all the money in China. Any time you have to try and prove to someone.... this child is your baby, who needs the guy, he's a loser. Unless of course there could be some doubt. If that be the case don't go on National Television for the whole world to see it.

I wouldn't even think about going on one of those "who's my babys daddy" shows. No matter what kind of person you are, you will come off looking like a tramp. I would pay for the DNA tests myself if I were you. I don't think a free trip is worth my pride.

no - youll only be humiliated - the humiliation will last longer than the free trip - if your the dad - or possibly the dad - sure go but if your the mom - too much drama - there are other ways that are not so public - like court order

Well if you have nothing to hide from the father, I would go. It would be good to finally lay to rest his foolishness. It will be all the proof he needs to be responsible and not hide. I wouldnt care what others think. You need this. Besides you have an opportunity to set him straight on national live television. If im not mistakened, I think they pay you for your story too!

I almost don't believe you.....know why? The people on shows like that never appear to have the ability to process potential outcomes like you have here.

By the way, are a midget who is dating your bosses wife's hairdresser who got pregnant by your boss?
