good question, but some of the answers are idiotic, like the chick who said they are "pervs." WTF does she think teen boys are supposed to be like? a Church choir? She's an idiot.
anyway, guys do that to pump each other up, because they are too shy to directly approach you, so they hope that if you hear one of them say something about you, that you will give him some kind of sign like a smile or something, and then the one you smiled to will come and talk to you.
it's like a message they're sending to you...

Frustrating, isn't it.
Guys are wired differently than gals, and that's a fact. BUT, there are a few wonderful guys who can cross the bridge over the gap between the sexes -- at least a little bit. If you come part way and not expect them to "get it" all of the time, you might find a few of them.
The gap is not just your generation -- it has been going on from the beginning of time. It is the stuff that tv sitcoms are made of. Watch "I Love Lucy", "Tool Time", "Everybody Loves Raymond", "Friends" They're funny because they are true.
What can you do? Make sure that they are clear about what you are and are not willing to do -- don't ever send them mixed messages -- don't tease them by dressing or acting in a way that gets them thinking the wrong thing about you.
Find mixed groups to hang around with that share some of your interests. You will have a chance to get to know some of the guys, and they will get to know you. Friendship can follow, and from friendship can come relationships that will have the kind of interest that you are looking for.

Boys no matter how old feel the need to always be the Alpha male. To reach this expectation they are in their minds required to have sex as much as possible. Even if it means lying. I also have this problem, but in my school in Atlanta they are alot more blunt. They will walk up to you and say thing that are completely unnecessary and feel and grope you. Matter of fact just today a boy came up to me and started touching on my neck, teachers do nothing but fuss at them it's sad. What Ive learned to do is in reaction to rude comments i usually tell a boy that we all know he was originally a girl or say the world knows your a virgin. That usually hurts their pride and they leave you alone. Hope i helped

maybe because it;s a certain way that you dress... maybe too reveiling.. maybe too trashy. Clothing does matter , it creates you image and impression that people get about you..... Maybe you seem to be easily accisable...... maybe you flirt too much with the wrong kind of guys..... maybe you give them hints that you like it when they make those comments ..... stop talking to them.... and aim at different guys... because some guys don't change , someguys just look for something to screw and see you as a target....... just completly block them... because they wont approach you and wont intorduce themselves, and wont try to get to know you better because they are losers..... They may be hot or good looking, but almost always they are not worth it ATALL

If they do not want to get to know the real you, then you do not need them. They are not worth your trouble. They are of the male gender who are using the wrong head. If they introduce themselves that doesn't mean give it up. You are a special person respect yourself and make them get to know you.

honest answer is... it doesnt stop after school. unfortunately once hormones kick in, guys stop maturing. the only way to get their respect is to offer them something else to think about... cars, sports or toys like trains and airhogs. i'd like to say this is bias opinion of another woman but i actually let my husband answer it so there has to be some truth to it.
humm is that why when he gets lost in walmart he can always be found in toys, automotive, or tools?

when it comes to communication with the other gender, the females tend to be more dominate with their verbal skills. Most men have a hard time forming a rapport with a woman.
Usually when a girl falls in love with a man its cause she chose him on his physical appearance. The rapport comes later in that scenario.
As a male we're told to guard our emotions, not to express them.We are taught alot of BS that goes along with the male macho ego.So its rare when you'll actually be mesmerized by a male who actually know how to talk to you.
Its easy for you to get some, but feel sorry for men who have no clue how to.Its very painful for men

You are a smart girl! you think with your brains, guys are using the other head to think with. They think you are hot, and they don't want to look like a fool by trying to talk with you and you walking off. So next time one of them smiles shyly at you, stop and smile back. If you don't know him, ask his name, if you do know him, ask him if he likes your dress. He will flip, and fell like a hero!
