what is the relationship between turbine engine speed and thrust?

I am not sure of the answer. This is for my Aviation Maintenance class homework. Any Av. Maint mechanics out there who may help? Thanks!

Hi. Depends on the engine type. Pure jet, low bypass turbofan, high bypass turbofan, turboprop, and unducted fan are the most common. Each generates thrust in a different way. The high pressure turbine is connected to the compressor and the low pressure turbine is connected to the fan or prop. The higher the speed of the LPT the higher the thrust.
