I asked if he was and I probably got an equal amount of yes and no's. It's no wonder R&S is so much fun.

True Christians believe Jesus at his word. At John 10:36, he called himself the Son of God. At John 17:3, he called his Father Jehovah the ONLY true God. True Christians can see that as plain as day.

There are several places in the Bible where Jesus clearly says He is NOT God; and other places where he implies that He is. This is why the idea of the Trinity was created about 300 years after Jesus' birth. It's a mystery, but one way to think of it is that when you look at a reflection of the sun in a mirror, you can both say "That's the sun!" and you can say "That's not the sun." Jesus was saying He is something like a reflection of God. Paul confirmed this.

That is one thing that defines a cult from the mainstream believers in The Lord.

Just pointing out one scripture for now, as there are many:
:
Isa 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This Old Testament prophecy of the Messiah calls Him both Son and Mighty God (El Gibor)

One needs to confess Jesus Christ Lord & Savior and believe in ones heart (faith) in Christ Redeeming Blood and Resurrection to be saved.

In this act of faith, personal relationship with God is restored, and in that communication, God reveals who God Is in His Word. Person is a child of God, born again, reborn spiritually. Inheriting Gods Kingdom and all the goodies that come with it.

Check out the Christian Research Institute. They've done a whole lot of homework on the subject.

You'll get some definitions you can use and some perspective you can appreciate.

I was having a discussion about that last night. It's never going to happen. It's a bit ironic having faith if people are constantly fighting about it, don't ya think?
