Great question. Definitely. Denominations are like different ice-cream flavors. The church you go to is one flavor, but there are many flavors. I would actually encourage you to try other churches to become aware that the way you may worship is only one way, but not the only way.
I would be wary of any denomination that discourages you from visiting other denominations. (I'm not assuming that yours does this but I'm just trying to figure out what would cause your caution) I would be wary b/c God loves diversity. He always found different ways to share his truth with people. He healed people in different ways. By visiting other churches it breaks down our sense of superiority. Have Fun!

So long as the church is a bible believing church, and they stick with the teaching in the bible, and don't add to them and what not, they I don't see the problem. I go to a baptist church, but I have gone to a non-denominational before, and a even a petacostal church as well. they were both pretty good places.

Yes. Denominations are man-made. There are only two churches, the Bride and the Prostitute. There are members of both in every congregation. Try to find a local congregation with as many members of The Bride as possible and as few members of The Prostitute as possible.

I do all the time! It is called an interfaith gathering. I am Muslim and go with an interfaith group to Churches, and temples and other Masjid of course. If you really want to strangthen your faith know all faiths. If you still choose to be the same faith, you know it is the right one for you. Too many Christians are Christian because they don't know anything else.
I am my faith by choice not by defalt. Untested faith is not faith, its just momentum.

Yes, If they have Good strong teachings(good scriptural foundation) you can lean and grow there. If you come to a church with poor teachings( little scriptural foundation) then you can probe them with leading scriptural questions so that they can grow.

Yes, it is alright to visit your brothers and sisters in Christ. But remember to return to your home church.
Make sure respect the believers and beliefs of the churches you visit.
With love in Christ.
