I hope you aren't married to someone on the Police Dept. because almost always what they are referring to it they say "choir practice" is some post-work drinking.
This is a old term for getting together, and may be what you
are referring to.
If someone has an actual Police Choir, I would bet on the Canadians, they have a lot of stuff like that... Part of ye Olde
