Actually, vinegar is a meat tenderizer. But, mainly it will "cook" your chicken. Try taking a small piece of chicken and let it soak in vinegar for a day or 2, and watch how it turns color. Dont by any means think this WILL cook it as it will not!!!! Vinegar is used for a wide variety of things, and it is really versitile, but if you want to cook with it, I reccommend balsalmic vinegar. The taste is unbelievable. But you only need to marinate it for no more than an hour - just long enough to let the flavors soak in. And, of course you want to combine it with other spices and such. I personally like garlic. But, it is up to you. Vinegar does not 'clean' chicken. And the only reason you need to remove the skin is if you want to watch your fat and calorie intake. For now, don't worry about it. If you need recipes, go to the Food Network and check it out. Or cooks (dot com). this site doesnt let you give web sites, so honey, good luck!!! p.s. And always wash your hands after you mess with raw chicken. And sterilize the counter or plate, whatever, after you have used it...

Vinegar tenderises the meat and starts the cooking process. It does not actually clean the meat or chicken. A couple of hours should do the trick. However, personally, I prefer to use lemon juice which does the same thing but tastes far better.

As for removing skin - this is entirely a matter of choice. Personally, I say, keep it on to cook it to retain the moisture and give a better flavour. But if you are watching your weight you could remove it before eating. I like to eat it! However most of the fat in a chicken is found under the skin which is why some say take it off.#

Hope this has clarified matters for you!!

vinegar will tenderize the chicken and Add a little flavor if you put it in a baggy and let t set for awhile it will kill a few germs but the cocking will do that much better just do not handle chicken if you have any cuts in your hands and also wash them very good after your chicken starts to cook that way you can be pretty sure that they will not get infected. Balsamic vinegar used as a brush- on with a bit of butter melted into it and a shot or two of curry mixed in will make some killer chicken on the grill or broiled.......might even add a bit of fresh squeezed orange juice to that mix good eating

Vinegar is a mild acid, which works as a meat tenderizer.
You don't use vinegar to clean meat.
When you cook chicken, it's purely up to you whether you keep the skin on or not.

I dont think that you use the vinegar to clean the chicken, you use it to tenderize the chicken. You dont have to remove the skin but I always do, it seems to make the chicken less greasy.

yes, of course, vinegar is really good to use as it acts as a purifier and its like a cleaning liquid and we dont get the bad smell of that chicken after it had been cut.

And another thing is there will be fat content is the chicken's skin, so its always better to have skinless chicken. Not advisable for health of course.
