First I think that what you mean is "why do Christians think the Bible is the infallible Word of God". Most Christians do think the Bible has not been corrupted through the years.
BUT...people misinterpret what the Bible says all the time.
Some Christians take some positive verses in the Bible and thinks it means God wants them to be rich. And if you aren't rich, God isn't blessing you. Twisted.

There is some logic to why Christians think The Bible is God's uncorrupted truth if you think about it.
If you believe in an all-powerful, all-knowing God.
God give us His Word...(that's what He says).
If he wants His truth, his thoughts to be available to everybody and not get corrupted after thousands of years of copying, it is fully in his power to make this happen (if He is all powerful). Even if He had Lucy Ricardo and Homer Simpson writing the Bible, he has the power to make them write it correctly, even though all the other things they do borders on stupidity.

I believe the Bible is written by people directly inspired by God. Even the harsher, unpopular stuff. Sure I wish he'd say everyone gets to go to heaven, but he didn't. And who I am to make judgement on His work. To say some of it is right and some of it is wrong, casts suspicion on the whole work. Either it is God's word as He wanted it written or it is man's work. There is no middle ground to take that matters.
