someone had posted this as an answer to either one of my questions or someone else's. i was just wondering if this was true or not.

with a HS diploma, you need a 35. With just a GED, you need a 50.

But more important is you line scores. that will determine which ratings you are eligible to be trained in.

Hello, the ASVAB required score for entry into the Navy is scoring at least a 35 on the AQFT.
The AFQT is comprised of your test results in Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Math Knowledge (MK), and Verbal Composite (VE) x 2. Your Verbal Composite score is a combination of your Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension scores.

35 afqt for navy with a high school diploma or 15 college credits
50 afqt for ged

Thats just to get in, your line scores and other factors like civil violations and color blindness will help determine the jobs that are available to you. Then you pick the one you want
