My partner suffers from anxiety and depression with many fears and phobias. Does anyone have any advice that I can give my partner that will help them with this concept?
We are relocating. Thanks!

The best way to get rid of a fear is to face it. This is best
achieved through therapy and education. The more you
know about what you fear the better equipped you are in facing it.
As for depression and anxiety, this can be handled with meds
and a positive attitude and outlook on life. Don't look at the move
as a relocation but rather as a new adventure, a new chapter in your life, a fresh start somewhere else. Keep things up beat and positive. Ask a therapist for a referral to someone in your new
area. Call ahead and make an appointment. Having someone
waiting to help could be a comfort.

I suffer with anxiety and depression, and have many fears and phobias. However, I love to drive, and travel any way other than flying. I also hate staying in one place too long--so relocation is something I'm very happy with.

Your partner is taking meds for the conditions, I hope. Mine help tremendously--unless something happens to really stress me out.

They need to control their thoughts and ask themselves if what they are thinking is rational.

I suggest counseling for this, it should help. You need to get to the root of why this started. Ask them to try to remember when all of it started, what was going on, what made it get worse?

Medications just mask what is going on in the psyche, this can be overcome.
