Same answer as before, but one other thing, don't turn the fire down, it will lower the oil temp and saturate your bird, just keep it hot and keep it moving, Good Luck, Enjoy

I tried to view the instructions but the link didn't take me there......Anyway when frying chicken its best to dust with flower then egg wash then dip into the flower essence . Im assuming the buttermilk was for soaking. You have to be very careful not to have the oil too hot or the chicken will burn, too low and the flower will fall off. ITs best to put on med heat then when the chicken begins to crust turn down a notch. you can check the chicken by inserting a knife to see if the juices run clear. Its frustrating the first few times but you will get ti with practice. Sorry you ruined your chicken.
Another method I use and find much easier is oven frying. You do the same thing except elt a stick of butter into a baking dish and bake at 350. turn after about 20 min and continue to cook an additional 20 minutes. It turns crispy and is so much easier. Good Luck!

Get yourself a thermometer so you can know for sure how hot your oil really was. Also, if you let your chicken (or any meat for that matter) sit at room temperature for a short time like 20-40 minutes before you put it in the oil, the meat will have come to a warmer and more even temperature. So then when you do go to cook it, the oil doesn't have to work so hard on the outside, to get the inside done.
Also, turn it as stated in the oil, and make sure you have enough oil in the pan. Also, make sure the room didn't have large drafts because if you have a gas stove top, that can make the flames not heat the pan evenly.

My guess is you either had the heat up too high and the oil was too hot OR the temperature of the chicken was not close to room temperature causing the chicken to burn on the outside and stay undercooked on the inside.
To test the temperature of the oil you can either use a thermometer or another way would be to prepare a very small ball (approx. the size of a dime) of dough (of similar consistancy as bread dough) by mixing flour and water. When you think the oil is hot enough, you could drop a small bit of this dough into the oil. If it burns instantly, the oil is too hot. On the other hand, if it cooks gradually and turns a nice golden brown colour, the oil is the right temperature.

First, when you put the flour on you need to beat the egg first. Put the flour in a shallow dish (with the salt and pepper)
Take the chicken and dip in the egg mixture. Then into flour all over, then back into the egg, then back into the flour and finally back into the egg - coating all over.
Finally fry them off until coloured and crispy - do this steadily but do not be tempted to look too soon underneath. This is one reason why the coating comes off, then finish them off by baking them in the oven. That way they will be cooked right the way through - loo sly cover with tin foil if they begin to go too dark.
Hope this helps.

You most likely turned your heat too high; causing burning on the outside and undercooking on the inside.
Next time you try it, use a lower heat setting.

If that happens in the future, you can put it in the oven until it's fully cooked.
Or stick a fork in the thickest piece and see if any pink juices flow out of it.

the link wouldnt load. but to me it sounds like you had the burner up to high. If you cooked it at a lower heat it will cook more evenly
Best of luck
