Religion any religion is not the problem or the cause of any problems. It is the interpretations of man that is the problem, and even that as a rule should not be a problem, but it is when one or more men have decided that they have a better understanding than others and when they try to force there will on others. That is the problem.
Religion is a very personal thing and every one should keep there personal revelations to them selves unless asked, and not attempt to force there will on others.
Religion has been used and abused by people in a bid for money and power.
If people would read these books for them selves, rather than relaying on others to do it, because of there fear of being held responsible for there actions by GOD. If people would stop being cowards and open the books for themselves and come to there own interpation then keep it to themselves religion would not be a problem.
As the saying guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
So also religion does not kill people, people kill people.
I have never heard of any one dropping dead from reading a holy book.
As a rule all instructional books have the same peaceful forgiving hope it is only when man believes he has or is the answer, that the poo hits the fan.
Religion in and of its self is well intended.
People use religion as an excuse.
Religion does not start wars or suffering, people needing an excuse to destroy and dominate for money and power start wars and suffering, in the name of religion. A bible can only kill if it is healed in the hands of a human and he or she beats another man or woman to death with it.
How can any lucid human say that by getting rid of all religion the world will some how become a paradise? Do you really think human nature will some how magically become more enlightened or better. Will politicians stop making war and will armies suddenly drop there guns and will all borders be dropped or respected if religion suddenly disappears of the planet? Will people of different color, not find new reasons and ways to kill each other?
As the saying guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
So also religion does not kill people, people kill people.

Nobody can completely remove religion from the world. People will still believe in a god, just like Nasa still believes in a bunch of craters on the other side of the moon.Religion may have caused deaths, but so has water. Would the world be better off without water? What are examples of those atheist nations, and do these nations still have philosophies that believe in karma, such as Taoism and Confucius and Buddhism? If you pay attention to what a religion such as Christianity teaches, you would think that the Christian nations would be most peaceful, but their pride in their religion causes it not to be so. Why not just stop threatening religions? There is no backing to support your claims.

Dont stop praying, and Britains government is not smart at all. After what happened in Denmark, God help us all. If they get in with Sharia laws to far, they will start killing us all. Especially, us infidels. Sharia is a DANGEROUS precept, http://apostatesofislam.com/. They just swore one in here on the koran, born here, changed religion, and claims the book belonged to Thomas Jefferson, if it did, it was so he KNEW his enemies !! Dont stop praying, and we had a congressman stand up and say...........look it up on yahoo news ,,virginia congressman, didnt like it, and Im sure Judge Moore was apalled. Our constitution was based on the Laws of the Bible. Its apalling and frightening and hurts me deeply, I am very partriotic, and I love God. Nothing less than what the constitution was based on..the Holy Bible. We still have the right to bear arms here, and I honestly believe that the first sharia law maker will not be very safe in America !! No friggin way,,will they be safe. There is still lots of prejudices here that have not died down enough for consideration. He is supposedly supposed to write some laws also, but he cant do it alone, things have to be passed, it will be an interesting situation. People do weird things for what they believe in some times, and ive read some bad stuff.

I think religion is good for structural reasons within smaller sects of society. I mean it's good to have people who share a common faith but not to the extent that people wage wars over it. History has proven time and time again that the wars with the heaviest bloodshed have been fought in the name of religion. If people could just respect each others boundaries and not impose upon others that the only right way is either "their way" or the high way. Religion in and of itself is not bad, until it is exploited as a completely groundless and unreasonable excuse for violence, fighting, or just plain out war. If there is a God, I'm sure he'd deny having to do with any inane bloodshed. If Jesus were back today I am pretty certain the last person he'd be is a Christian as many seem to define and represent themselves.

No, the world would only find something else to argue about and kill over. Religious fanatics make good pegs to hang responsibility for all the world's problems on, that's all.

And since we're on the subject, would somebody please explain why everyone focuses on the fanatics and ignores those who practice their religion with love and compassion for others?

For every Fred Phelps or Osama Bin Laden, there are hundreds of people whose religion inspires them to help others and make the world a better place.

We have to distinguish *true religion* from *false religion.*

Islam is false religion|

To paint Islam and Christianity with the same brush, shows the incapacity to make the most fundamental distinctions between things (and people who do this think that they are smart).

It is like arguing that because a boa constrictor is deadly, so is your cat, because they are both animals.

That is the logical fallacy of those who say that all religion is bad because of what the fanatics did at 9/11.

But without God and true religion, our world would degenerate into hell on earth|

Faith without reason (fideism) is just as erroneous as reason without faith (rationalism).

Fideism and rationalism are two errors on opposite sides of the truth|

those of religious systems, seems all alike they are,
for they have fought, killed and died both near and far ;-(

then once a week or multiple times a day they may pray,
but then as hypocrites they begin each new day ;-(

days that are filled with deceit, delusion and lies,
for in a system of religion, Truth can not abide ;-(

and so the fruit of death is sown of their religious ways,
because life is but a pawn in the wicked game they play ;-(

religion is Anti-Messiah!

however, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope!

for Miracles do happen!

hope is there would be those who experience The Miracle that is "receiving a love of The Truth" for they will have naught to do with the religioius systems that are of this world(babylon).......

peace, in spite of the dis-ease(no-peace) that is of this world.......

No matter what man may do, we can not kill God. He is bigger than us and in control of all things. Take heart, be strong and trust in God. I believe in having a personal relationship with Jesus, many religions have caused problems. Its a mess. But God will fix it all one day. Take heart.
