Cause could be a number of things, depression is one, drinking large amts of caffeine during the day and before bedtime. Day napping is also disruptive to sleep habits. If this is just an occasional occurrence, I wouldn`t worry about it, if it`s a nightly pattern, consult ur doctor, he may prescribe a short course of a sleeping aid to help u develop a more normal sleep pattern or he may question ur other activities to see if u r in a depressed state, which may also cause u to sleep too much or too little.

it could be many reasons, Peri menopause, I have fibro so that cuts into my sleep just like now I was sleeping good got woke up and now I am on this computer. I am going to ask my doctor for a sleep aid maybe you should do the same. If I take a muscle relaxer all I do is have crazy dreams, like my rabbit had babies but all the boy bunnies were born with blue bandanna's on. and last night I dreamed that I found a puppy but it had the face like those distorted cards. well now that you know there is another crazy sleepless person out there I hope you get a couple more hours asleep.

What are your nightly habits before you go to bed? Do you sleep in the same bed everynight where you can be comfortable? Those are all factors in whether or not someone can sleep... What exactly is keeping you up? Noise? Can't relax? Try to do some relaxing activities that would put people to sleep.... Don't take sleeping pills, or drink and pass out. Those activities only help fall asleep but not get good sleep... Sorry about the insomnia

If you are tired, consider the below. If not, you are very lucky.

You are too serious. You need to considers the best sleepers--kids. They like to joke around all day long and they love dogs and animals. You unfortuately do not have the typical sleep gifting most people have so you need to compensate by building your peace reserves that kids have. That is why kids can sleep long and solid--they have fun all day long. Begin a joke collection from Readers Digents jokes, Jay Leno and Lawyer jokes on the net. You need to start thinking funny and magically you will find yourself sleeping much better after a few months.

as long as you are not sleep deprivated it is ok . some people are short sleepers, some are long. i am a long sleeper, and need my sleep! my husband is a short sleeper and he can do just fine only sleeping 4 hrs. as to where i would die!! short sleepers also usually dont remember their dreams, while a long sleeper could describe you a dream vividly. :) hope this helps
