I have a friend who is interested in a Lap Band Surgery. She has done some research online, but cannot find an approximate cost. Can you tell me about how much they are?

They can cost up to $25,000. Medicaide and medicare do pay for them.I ended up owing the Hosp $1000. plus had to pay $698. before surgery. Most insurances will pay for them if you are grossly obese.Some cost $11000-$12000. Go to Mexico and its even cheaper.

My friend has lap band surgeory- she told me it is about $27 thousand dollars..however, insurance will pay for it if she has medical issues due to her weight. My friend has sleep apnea - where she would stop breathing at night-and asthma..
