You observe other animals, eat what they eat, drink what they drink, sleep where they sleep, etc. instinctively we all came from a jungle a long time ago. And if she was young enough to learn rather than panic, I believe she could, but she could well have been taken in by natives at some point, from what I understand these people live fairly "close to teh land" so she may already have learned a lot of the basic skills. And it's kind of sad because she may never be happy in the "civilized" world, once she can communicate and find a way to support herself, I hope they let her go where she wants, the media attention must be hell.

I'm not sure what you are referring two. But its a matter of survival skills. There are plenty of documented examples of such survival--including feral children.
Especially in a jungle or other heavily forested environment. Any such ecology is esentiallly a natural supermarket--if you know what to look for. Bear in mind that our remote ancestors evolved in such an environment. As long as someone learns what is needed to survive and where to find it, the main problem is to make sure you don't end up on something elses menu!

I think you have to be brave first and confident ,then you try new things ,like eat things in jungle that you may think are eatable.
The most important thing is water ,but there is always a little water for animals somewhere so you can drink too.
Other things you need to know is safety ,and how to protect yourself from dangerous animals. My idea is by a book which can help you,if you are not still in jungle.
