Next time, when you ask a girl practice your confidence like talking in front of the mirror and pretend conversations. Then found out a few things about her like from her friends or some thing but don't make her think you are a stalker because I know how that is. Then, when you get enough confidence, walk up to her, and say something surprising and something that you know makes her laugh then ask her a few things about herself. After that, ask her to dance. Try to remember you are not a loser, you are the king of the world and say simple stuff that will make her laugh a little and keep asking her questions about herself and tell her about you. After you know each other a lot better, exchange numbers!

Ok, get comfortable with dancing. Nothing crazy. No Michael Jackson or Prince moves. And definately, do NOT do the robot. Thats instantly telling everyone you have no clue what your doing. Simple simple stuff, make it smooth, stay consistent. Its all about the body language. Look at other people and see if you can read the image their sending. Do they look strong, confident, motivated? Now look in the mirror. Are your shoulders slouched? Do you seem confused, meek, timid? Gain good self posture. Let people know your there. The dance is all about her friends. Not that certain girl. Pay attention to her friend(s). Then greet her and ask her to dance. Dance WITH her, try to mimick some of her moves. But be yourself, stay with the simple stuff. UNLESS you feel it is 100% necessary to express yourself. If you do this, you'll definately see a lot of ***......walking away from you. K now remember, good body language, seem important and confident, dance the simple stuff at first, make her feel special.

Ask the girl you like to go to the dance with you. In a large group. Since you said you were scared this time. You are not a loser, you just were scared, which is completely normal. Hope it all works out.

You are not a loser at all. Which one of us has not done the same thing. Just be confident in yourself and next time, take the plunge and ask her. I guess, like the saying goes, the worst she can say is no. That may hurt a bit but at least you made your move. Try another girl then. Again, it is just a matter of confidence.

here's what I would do. do you have any friend girls you can dance with for starters? once you get going...half the time, no one knows who is dancing with who on the dance floor anyway. The first couple of dances I went to, I didn't get asked to dance...and I'm a girl...and I hated that. But years later now, I've had tons of dates, lots of boyfriends...so you're not a loser...maybe a slightly slow starter....not so bad!

No, you are just shy. Make up your mind in advance to ask someone to dance next time. Then do it. If she says, "No," it's not the end of the world. Just ask someone else. After you do it a couple of times, it gets much easier.

dude you are just like me in the sense that you are a lil shy and get this after a while you just need to learn and say to yourself i am the big man on campus. I can do this, and you ask that girl to dance, and she will see you and your confidence and she will dance, and you dance with that girl. I learned that. Remember BIG MAN ON CAMPUS, and CONFIDENCE!

yes, you are a loser. but have a chance to change that. Next time, go up to with her with confidence and politely ask her to dance. Be sure to make her laugh.
