My Husband died on a Sunday and came in my dream just 7 hours after. Do you believe this is in relation with the 7th day, Sunday which is God's day? My Husband and i were believing people but not the kind of persons who go to Church. I only remember this white light which waked me up and my Husband's presence, but nothing of the dream itself. I was so peaceful when i was in this dream, it was so magic, i felt like my Husband was here by me.

In this wonderful movie "Always" with Richard Dreyfuss and Holy Hunter (remake of the original movie with Spencer Tracy and Irene Dunne), the pilot played by Richard Dreyfuss "came back" something like 6 months later, why my Husband "reappeared" so quickly? Because i don't believe it was a normal dream, but my Husband probably tried to prepare me to the terrible shock prior the police tells me.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the interesting replies from everyone as well as for the explanations.

Sorry for your father.

It was NOT a farewell though since my Husband's soul came to visit me many times within a few weeks.

Yes, the dream was written down PRIOR.

Yes, we were very close to each other.

Thanks for the different sites that are very interesting.

when we pass over a lot depends how quickly we adapt to the new reality.
your husband has come to give you assurance that he still is
the light indicates hes in the better part of the light
he still has plenty going on but such a quick visit shows he wanted to let you know
keep a pen beside the bed
next time you will be ready ,it also is more likely that he dictate things to you while you are awake but
we need to be only thinking of gathering the meaning of symbles ,smells sounds ,menories of people and places ,that come up from listening ,there are books of symbols to help but you guys would have your own codes and understandings.
if its important he and you know you are ready ,for anything.

That is pretty cool. You know, I may be an athiest, but that does not mean I am not spiritual. You and your husband must have been very close and I give you my sorrow at his loss. I hope you find that peace that your husband gave you in your dream again and can hold onto it for the rest of your life.

PS- the only other explanation I can offer (other than it wasn't real) is that you and your husband were a little like twins and your essences were tied so closely together that you just knew when he died and your body responded in that way.

Did you write that down before you heard about your husband's death? If not, you probably had a generic dream about him, which is not unusual. Later, after being shocked, you "remembered" the dream, filled in with more details that your brain added to it.

Elizabeth Loftus has done a lot of research on how we rewrite what we think we remember according to what we want to remember it as.

There are names for different types of ghosts. I do not believe in most ghosts, but I do believe in ghosts called wraiths. They are the spirits of those departed from their bodies, who come by to say goodbye to those whom they love the most. My father was murdered, and he came by on his way to heaven, as a wraith, to tell my mother good bye one last time. That may be what happened to you. Treasure your husband's last goodbye forever in your heart until you meet again on the other side.

sounds like your husband came to you to say goodbye.
try not to analyze it too much and just hold on to the peaceful feeling and the magic. this is as real as it gets and it is so precious.

My sincere condolences.

Not trying to be harsh or anything, but you might just be missing him so much that you start to see things you really dont.?

I know when people I know have died I have felt similar things.
