Lately, I have been taking naps after school and it usually lasts one-two hours. When I wake up I have a massive headache and it doesnt go away unless I eat something or take a hot shower. I only get six hours of sleep everyday because I'm insomniac and it takes me at least two hours to fall asleep.....I always wake up in the middle of the night too....

Try taking only a maximum of just one hour nap. Sometimes it helps. Another way is to just sit on your bed for about 10 to 15mins, wriggle your toes and clench your fists a few times to get the blood flowing. Taking a shower definitely helps, which you are already doing. If it takes you two hours to sleep at night, why not go to bed two hours earlier then?

Yes!! I know what you mean.. sometimes if I take a nap during the afternoon ( I work from 6am to 2:30) I feel so out of it and I wake up more tired than when i went to sleep!! I think the shorter 20 min naps are ok, but longer than that and you get messed up.

A good thing to eat when you wake up is a banana or orange. Follow that with at least 10 push-ups and you will feel much better!

try taking tylenol pm before you go to sleep and it will help you fall asleep faster and should get rid of the headaches when you wake up

try not to nap for so long...a nap that long and you're into rem sleep which is the deepest sleep so when you wake you are waking from a deep sleep

you should not nap for more than 30 min. after 30 min you go in to rem sleep and will be more tired.

i'm not really sure. i have the same problem too. i usually just drink beverages containing caffiene and lots of pain killers. Good Luck!
