I marinated it in teryaki, brown sugar, soy sauce and ginger last time, now i wanna try something new, preferably southwest style. Maybe a peppercorn marinade? No A-1's or just pepper and salt ideas pls. I want something interesting and tasty. Nothing too spicy though, i have a sensitive stomach. I heard chaka's sauce is good.

Tequila-Lime Marinade, it's South West as you can get

Marinate the tri-tip for at least two hours.

1/2cup fresh lime juice
1/2cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2cup olive oil
1/3cup soy sauce
1/4cup tequila
7garlic cloves, finely chopped
2teaspoons grated lime peel
2teaspoons ground cumin
2teaspoons dried oregano
1teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 a cup of Soy Sauce
1/4 a cup of Worchestershire Sauce
2 - 3 cloves of garlic crushed depending on your taste
2 tblsp of olive oil
1 tblsp white vinegar
1/2 cup of diced red onion

Mix all together and marinade the steak for 2 - 4 hours..Really good

Oh, you just had to do that to me! Hubby is from Central California and got me hooked on tri tip out there. Now here in Tennessee, they don't know what tri tip is.....butcher is ready to scalp me!

Enjoy some for us poor deprived souls in the Bible belt!
