I just got a webcam and I want to put a snapshot on my profile. However, I can't because the camera saves as jpeg. Any help?

Open the file in almost any graphics editor (paint will work), then use the save as option to save it as a .bmp

You want to change a jpeg to a bmp? Or the other way around? Actually it doesn't matter. Open the file in any photo editing software, like Photoshop Elements, or Microsoft Photo Editor, and then do a Save As. You can keep the same file name, only have to select .bmp as the file type.

Open the snapshot in Paint and when it opens, go to :

Save As >
Name your File, and under file type, save it as whatever you want.

Super easy.
-Open the file in "Microsoft Paint".
-Click on "File".
-Click on "Save As".
-At the bottom left you'll see, "Save as type:"
-To the right of the "Save as type:" window there will be a drop down arrow.
-Click the arrow.
-You will see a list of file types that you can save your photo in.
-Click on the one you want. In your case "*.bmp".
-Click on "Save".
-That's it.
