i use a Dep gel.can i use anything else for my hair besides gel?

It depends on the gel you use and how well you clarify your hair. All gel has alcohol in it or the product would never dry, but when you buy the product from a hair salon the bigger manufacturers use an alcohol that is taken apart and put back together again so it is not as damaging to your hair and there is much less water in professional products so you do not need to use nearly as much on your hair. Also, when using gel or any fixative you should get a clarifying shampoo that will take the majority of that product off of you hair. Use the clarifyer weekly to keep hair in better condition.

yes using Gel on your hair every day is bad for you hair. It clogs the pores that you have on your head and prevents your hair from breathing. What i would recommend using is Aloe Vera 100% alchohal free gel. Its $ 6.00 and i use it everyday and I love it. It styles your hair and keeps it from becoming hard and sticky but also gives your head pores some breathing so your hair can grow.!

Yes it is very bad for your hair I work at a hair clinic I will tell you it clogs the follicles and cuts off blood supply to the scalp causing hair lose. Go to www.laserhairtherapycenters.com read through there also read the back of the shampoo you use if it contains sodium Laural sulfate it will have the same effect if you don't want to be using rogaine or getting treatments at our center watch what you use in your hair

It's not bad for your hair, but it can dry your scalp out and cause flakes. If you use gel everyday, buy a good shampoo at a salon that will remove all the build up. I recommed Bedhead's Manipulator shampoo. It defunks that gunk.

I believe thhat putting gel in your hair everyday will dry your hair out. Every once in a while you need to do a deep conditioner to it.

yes its bad for your hair, because my brother uses the same gel you do and his hair is like soo hard and he developed white hair too. but billcreame is good for your hair although it is a very old brand it's good for your hair.

i dont use it everyday
i have beautiful hair and i plan to keep it!lol

most gel products have some kind of alcohol product - and alcohol dries the hair -- be sure to use a weekly moisturizer
