21 is the age that you are able to drink.
16 is the age to acquire a drivers license.

In Texas, 21 to drink and 16 to get a driver's license... however, at 16 and 17, the picture on the license is a profile (head turned to side) pic... at 18, you get a full-face pic on the DL.
I think in some states, you can get a driver's license at age 15.

a full drivers license depends on the state... for most states 16, some have special options (or used to- for younger drivers), and some have lots of restrictions (like Maryland). In PA, NY you can get a full license at 16.

Across the whole United States, you have to be 21 to older alcohol. So the answer is 21, and it is not different in different states.
I know in one state that I can't remember the name of you can get you license at 14. I want to say North Dakota maybe.
