Why do people have a problem with eating cloned animal meat? It is still just a cow. Its sort of like cutting a worm in half. In the end, you still have perfectly normal worms. Do you think twins are strange? Technically, one twin is the clone of the other. With cows, they simply make more "twins" (triplets, quintuplets, etc.). The only problem I perceive is that it may drastically reduce the gene pool, and possibly leading to an extinction (not complete extinction) of cows due to a disease or something the original couldn't defend against. If you don't like the idea of cloned animals, next time you see a twin you should shun one and say how gross they are.

For all of you who don't think its natural, or its fake, or will give you cancer, THEY ARE BORN THE SAME WAY!!! If you've heard of in vitro-fertilization, its when they take the male and female gametes, join them together, and put them into the female. With cloning, they take the very healthiest cow(s) DNA, put it in an egg, than use in vitro. They are live, normal, healthy cows. They would not give you cancer, because cancer is caused from radiation and (or) random occurrences within the cells. These cows would not be glowing, and would DEFINITELY not have cancer. If anything, I would rather eat cloned meat. Think about all of the deformities and disorders that you wouldn't need to worry about.

Consider diseases like bird flu and mad cow, that could spread much more rapidly among animals that are genetically identical. The more widespread these diseases are, the harder they will be to control, and the more likely people will be infected.

I would also be wary of the cloning process, because it may still have some unidentified effect on the animal, that may be safe if you eat a little bit, but harmful if you eat it every day. Or, the process may be safe only if done perfectly, which is less likely if cloning becomes more prevalent. And what happens after several generations of cloning? Are the animals more likely to develop tumors that pump out large quantities of dangerous substances?

I would like to know why this is being considered? Is it cheaper to generate a clone in a laboratory than to breed animals naturally? Is it worth the risk of a massive death in the herd?

I've read and heard there is virtually no difference in the quality of the meat. But, I wonder whats wrong with 'regular' meat. Whats the matter with it? Is Bessie and Brutus not making enough pasture nookie? I think cloned meat would cost more, which is dump. Just stick with the regular ...the way God intended it to be meat.
If there was a world wide deadly contagion that killed all the beef, pork... etc, then yes, cloning would have to replinish the supply after the disease was done away with. But, now... no.
I would never knowingly consume 'cloned meat.'

Why might want to it problem somewhat all and diverse? in case you may want to eat the beef of a cow ( and that i'll ) why might want to you no longer eat the beef from a genetically same cow? Or drink the milk? ( I gained't drink milk, can't stand the stuff ) Edit: If a cow has same twins might want to you eat one and by no ability the different? Or drink the milk from in common words one? same twins are regardless of each thing clearly occuring clones. How might want to you go back to a decision it truly is the clone? Or is it the age at which the clone is produced it truly is the concern? also considering i'm getting a lot adverse reaction to this isssue, please be conscious that the q and A are about cloned no longer genetically changed animals.

twins are usually naturally cloned by nature. unless theyre the new ones where the couple has the doctor interfere with the amount of eggs the woman releases. animals on the other hand are cloned by man. i find it kind of scary. its like eating something fake. growing up i could only imagine how wierd yet interesting cloning would be. now that its actually happening im actually questioning what the world is coming to. i dont want to eat cloned meat. i really wish they would label cloned products.

We're already eating cloned vegetables, I see nothing wrong w/ taking the healthiest of animals and cloning them to produce more meat.

I don't believe we humans should ever eat any animal flesh what-so-ever, for moral and health reasons. I however am guilty of this though-out my life, due to my environment, up-bringing and conditioning. Although lately I have been making a real strong effort to reduce my consumption of meat, and if I still eat any, attempt to limit it to only a little chicken and fish.

I heard in a lab test that lab mice wouldn't even touch clone corn makes you wonder why. I will and wont touch anything that has been genetically alter. I like the real thing.

yer then we find out ten yrs later that the cloned meat gives you cancer, i will happen for shore
