I have this same problem. It usually happens right around the beginning of my periods. But every now and again I get the pains that are really uncomfortable. Sharp shooting pains that shoot through my whole breast. I went and seen my gynecologist and he did a manual exam and found nothing to be alarmed about. I have a mammogram scheduled.

My Dr. said that Caffeine will do this to a woman. I drink alot of caffeine. He took me off all caffeine.
Also I would stay away from under wires. They also seem to trigger this. There is a name for this but I cant remember what it is.
I suggest that you go see the Dr. and have him do an exam to rule out anything bad. Then get a mammogram set up.
I would not get all worried at this point. There are many reasons for this.
My Dr. also told me to take vitamin E. He say that would soften from the inside.

But the pains usually do occur around your periods. I would take some Ibuprofrins or pamprin or midol.

Good Luck!

When your bra is the wrong size the wires will jab under the arm and you will feel like your bra is sagging and you have no support. I have been there, I was wearing to large of a back size in a bra and to small of a cup size. What ever you are wearing go down a back size and go up a cup size. This helped me and now the I don't feels the wires at all, but I needed the support. If you are not wearing underwires then you are not getting enough support and again try a smaller circumferenc in a bra and a larger cup size. Example: All B cups are not the same. A 36B fits simaliar to a 34C bra in the cup. The back size is larger in a 36. Your bra should fit lower in the back and sunger so that the lower back supports your cup not the shoulders. Hope this advice will give you some relief . If you need any help feel free to contact me. I am an expert at fitting bras for over 32 years. Good Luck! Tina

You may need to cut dwn on caffiene. There's a condition, and I actually suffer from this myself, but can't rmemeber the name, where caffiene makes your breast tissue more "lumpy" around your period and hurt.
