That's awful. I hate that you had to actually move somewhere else. I would actually pursue the case further, I'd even try to sue the punk, maybe even that police department. Talk to your friends, family, getting involved in a church group would help, maybe even talk to a therapist. Pray about it. I don't know what's wrong with some people. I mean, a few months ago my cousin pushed my grandma over. She was bruised really badly and all they got was pretty much a restraining order against him. I hope everything works out for you. E-mail me if you want. I cannot imagine feeling so disrespected and hurt you must feel. good luck.

That is a terrible situation and I'm sorry that happened to you!! I would talk to a therapist if you're having a hard time coping. It is very common for things like this to happen.
I saw a movie once where this woman got divorced, she was raising her two sons-the oldest started physically abusing the mother. And when the mother started getting hurt, she would get in trouble, not the son. It was very sad. Luckily the oldest son doing the abusing, fessed up and admitted to hurting his mother. But not everyone comes out with a happy ending.
I think talking to a professional will help you move on with your life and help you avoid that situation again. Or help you deal with it if it were to happen again. That never should have happened. I would make sure you have some witnesses to say that the teenager hit you next time if it ever does happen again. I think if it were to happen again and be solved the way it should, you'll feel better about the whole thing and be able to move on.
I hope I answered your question well.

First of all there is a huge big controversy in this country about spanking. Spanking is defined as A slap or a series of slaps on the buttocks. To slap on the buttocks with the open hand. This is defined in the Webster's Illustrated Dictionary. I can tell you from my own personal experience that my Father did spank me with the belt, on the buttocks. However, it was just that spanking. He didn't leave welts on me or bruises. He also didn't verbally abuse me. It was merely a form of discipline for when I lied to him or did things I wasn't obviously suppose to do. Looking back I don't have regrets that he used this form of discipline as he didn't do it in an abusive way. However, a lot of people believe in no spanking. Instead to use alternative discipline like time outs and the such. There is an absolute difference between spanking and abuse. You are describing abuse plain and simple. Please do not hit your parents back. This will only escalate the problem and it's telling your self it is also o.k. to be abusive. As it is never o.k. to be abusive. Get help immediately.

This happens quite alot in this country. The cops often find it's easier to arrest an adult than a juvenile. Much less paperwork to deal with.
You've moved to a different state, so you can start a new life and put this bad stuff behind you. Try to find other things to think about and forget about the past. We cannot change the past, so we now have to work on the present and the future.

First of all .. the way that the police handled it (from what you said in this posting ...) is ENTIRELY WRONG .. yes, they should have taken your complaint, taken pictures of your bruises (the marks on your body), and worked the case with dignity and respect to the individual who was ASSAULTED by the teen.
Please, if anything, try to find a Domestic Violence Center and ask about group sessions for Survivors of Domestic Violence. (and yes, this is Domestic Violence). By attending these sessions, you can find some peace with the situation (as it was), but also some knowledge that the POLICE STILL DO NOT PROPERLY INVESTIGATE Domestic Violence ... and this includes TEENS Attacking Adults!

I don't understand, really. I don't care if it's adult or the teenager, the one who commited physical abuse should be the one get arrested. My guess, it's because your mom protected him that's why the police somehow assuming you're the threat. I would consult a lawyer because I don't know about law that much. I'm just writing what I personally think and it could be wrong, Sorry.

Did you have witnesses who will testify for you? If so then charge cop with dereliction of duty by going to feds. Sue the city for damages and psych suffering. and ask your mom just what she was smoking? If no witnesses then let it go. Additional information needed is what was going prior to getting hit.
My stepson hit me twice the first time I called cops. The Child and family protection agency gave him a slap on wrist and the second time I broke his arm in three places. They charged me and I proved self defense and the boy did 9 months in juv detention center. He never raised a hand to me again. I sued the state and won 3.75 million for false arrest and defamation of character. Of course the video of him hitting me first helped.

Don't worry over this any longer as its no good to anyone. The only thing proper is to accept it and forget it. There are so many unrighteous things happens in this world and to compare over it is nothing.cheer up. and accept it happened for some good reason (unknown)
