14 hours is not bad. Make sure he has fresh water (daily) filtered water is the best and you should be giving him a "kitten" diet. Check at pet stores for foods that are made for kittens. Kittens need different nutrients then other aged cats. Try to go with an Organic food or if you can not find that, a natural type food. You can try searching for this on the internet. These foods have less to no chemicals in them. Chemicals in regular cat food can cause constipation. If your kitty does not go for a couple days try a bit of mineral oil in wet food. Pure mineral oil nothing else. This is what works for my cat who has chronic constipation. Good Luck.

Six weeks is far to early to take kittens from there mother It could be suffering because it should still be nursing and if its not getting the right nourishment and fluids it will suffer. There is a reason kittens don't ween until at least 10 weeks as mothers milk also kick starts the kittens immune system. Take advise from your vet A.S.A.P

Hi there...very young kittens may defecate from anywhere to 1 - 3 times a day depending on how much they consumed as well as activity level.

No it is not normal. If he is only 6 weeks old, he really still needs to be on moist food. Even then, he may not be getting enough fluids, so you may need to give him kitten milk (at PetCo, etc.) in a dropper). Take him to a vet soon. They can give him IV fluids.

is he eating wet solids or dry solids? if its dry you have to switch to wet, like whiskas jelly kitten pouches and also give him a small saucer of milk twice a day, that should help. dont switch him fully to dry food til hes a year old. but you can give him wet food and dry food in seperate bowls (only a bit of dry though) when he reaches 8 months.
