I've liked this girl for a few months and sometimes she ignores me but when shes not around a lot of people and im by her she will talk to me all the time.

take chris k's advice, he's right, pay a little more attention to her friends, not in a malicious way and remain nice to her, but don't put all your attention towards her, its sad but a lot of girls feed off that, send the message that if she is not interested in you, than you are quite aware of the other fish swimming around you!!! But always remain nice!!! Never be mean or malicious, but show confidence!!!

Shy!! i HATE talking to the guy i like in front of a lot of ppl...i open up when i am alone seriously like if she ignores you in the halls or when a lot of ppl are around u guys...(like pretending not to notice, looking the other way) she might like u. I know its childish, but i do it too.

she might have a slight interest in you but seems on the shallow side and is more worried about what other people think hence her ignoring you when other people are around.
find someone else that isn't going to treat you like that.

You need to ignore her too. Start hanging out with other girls, be how can I explain... hmmm act like you really dont care either way.
Let her know, or make her think rather that you can be with other girls, that you are not desperate to be with her.
Be nice, but dont act needy. Just be non chalant. like whatever.
This should make her crazy if you do it right... hope this helps you.

There are a billion reasons.
The simplest thing would be to say what you think and ask her about it.
If she is mature and any kind of a decent person she will answer truthfully and if it is a good answer then you know you have a keeper. Luck!

It probably means that she is not use to you yet and she needs to take some time before talking to you in front of her friends. don't think she's embarrassed of you because she wouldn't even talk to you if she did.

She is just not into you; when a girl likes a boy, she makes sure that she has his attention when she sees him. Forget her start paying attention to someone that cares.
