Hi everyone,I am living in Australia.English is not my first language.I
got a bit confused by this.Could any aussie friends please help me?The question is about this word "district",can I use "district" as an adjective to mean somewhere that is outlying, poor and rural,e.g."district area" to mean a poor and rural area?I've looked it up in the dictionary, but the dictionary only says "district" could be used as a noun. How about used as a adjective?I occasionally hear ppl using it that way,is it right or wrong?

The word District cannot be used as an adjective. District means a certain area, and that is all. Whoever is using it as an adjective does not know the English language. Trust me, English is my mother tongue, and I am good in it. Hope this helps!!!

I have only started seeing folks use the term "Wiccanism" on the internet within the last year, including some claim-to-be Wiccans. I agree that it is not the proper term. I've never heard/seen it used in any of my groups, or pagan gatherings, or any real-life Wiccan events. "Wicca" is in my Merriam Webster dictionary and is attributed to likely being derived from an old English word. "Wiccanism" is not found in the Merriam Webster dictionary - either the one I have on my desk or the online version. But then, that answerer that used "Wiccanism" to mean Wicca, also is saying that Wicca isn't a religion, so consider the source. hehe - Blue Chaos's answer made me LOL :)
