You have to gain control, make a choice. You can continue to fight and argue over stupid things or you can change, use some self control, and choose not to fight.

It's not simple, it's not easy. No one ever said life was easy or the right thing to do was ever easy. But it all boils down to what you want in life and in your future. If it isn't going to matter to your life in 10 years, much less 10 days, it isn't worth fighting over. How clean your room is, where you drop your stuff when you come home, if your chores are done, what music you listen to and how loud it is....these are are things that in the long run for the most part mean nothing. How hard is it to try to make life easier for the people you live with and love? Would you do the same in your own home or the home of a stranger? We always seem to take the ones we love the most for granted...and we revel the worst of ourselves to them. Almost as if they will prove their love by putting up with our crud. But at some point you really have to take responsibility and treat the people you love with more respect and care...before you loose them forever. We only get one shot at this thing called life...don't waste it fighting over the dumb stuff. Best wishes.

Well, it will be hard for you no matter what because it's in your genetics. I know because my father and grandfather are the same way. My mother calls it "diarrhea of the mouth."

The best way I can tell you to work it out is this: You have to learn to be the bigger person and just walk away. Just walk away. Tell them that you don't want to say anything that you don't mean, and that you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, and then walk away. Leave the house, go for a drive (if you're old enough), lock yourself in your room, or do whatever you have to do, but just walk away, and then try talking to them when things have cooled down.

It's hard, I know. Like I said, I've been there. But if you attempt to be rational, then chances are they might be too. Just try to be the better person and not lash out. And just remember that words do hurt, despite the old saying, and that they can never be taken back.

you have all seen a therapist and still there is no hope.

you have to learn how to control your tempers. only talk to each other with nice, kind words or don't talk at all.

This may sound dumb at your age but give your parents credit. They might acutally know more than you think.
