Ok, is it just me or is it like this for everyone?

I'll work out, go running and eat healthy and in about 3 days my stomach will tighten and I feel great and toned.

But about 3 days of not running for lacrosse and not finding time to go the gym, and when I eat junk food I feel like a fatty. All signs of abs will disappear, and I get this thin layer or fat over my stomach.

But then I can get rid of it! I go from out of shape, to in shape, to out of shape in 2-3 days! Is that normal? I thought it was a gradual process to get fat, and to lose it.

Oh yeah, I don't quit because I think I look fine, cause I run 3 days a week, and lift weights 2 days a week. I'm just talking about like after Christmas break, and snow days and crap like that. And sometimes I just don't have the time.

You are all messed up. Don't you have bigger issues than a little water retention?

You need 30 mintues of exercise everyday. That'll fix your problem.

That is probably how your body works. But you should not just work out for three days and then quit. You need to stay active like go to the gym Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Then run on Tuesdays and Thursday. You should not quit after a few weeks because you look good.

THis is like the opposite for me. I'm skinny and trying to gain weight so I lift weight and eat high protein foods. And it's like if I miss 2 days I am back to feeling way too skinny. I guess you just have to keep at it no matter what you're doing!

Yeah it sounds like your describing either a salt retention or water weight.
